Lane closures on I-64 west in New Kent for roadway repairs

RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), and its contractor, is closing westbound lanes along Interstate 64 (I-64) at mile marker 219 near Exit 220 (Eltham Road) in New Kent County for roadway repairs due to an earlier tractor trailer crash.

Closures will alternate between left and right lanes, including shoulders. Work is anticipated throughout the day and possibly the afternoon commute.

Motorists should seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
