TonoCard Announces October 15 Kickstarter Launch of 3.2 mm AI Call-Screening Device

TonoCard is a 3.2 mm Bluetooth accessory designed to attach to the back of a compatible smartphone without requiring a second SIM or phone number.

TonoCard is designed to screen incoming calls and alert users when a conversation matches their stated priorities.

The approximately 35-gram device supports compatible iOS and Android phones and connects through Bluetooth.

Bluetooth accessory is designed to answer unattended calls after five seconds, identify priority conversations and return control to the user.

HONG KONG, HONG KONG, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Hong Kong-based TonoCard today announced that its card-format AI call-screening device is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on October 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT.

The 3.2 mm Bluetooth accessory attaches to the back of a compatible iOS or Android smartphone. It is designed to answer unattended calls after five seconds, identify the caller’s purpose and alert the user when a conversation matches predefined priorities.

Unlike app-only call-screening tools, TonoCard connects to a paired smartphone through Bluetooth HFP and BLE, similar to a hands-free system or Bluetooth headset. According to the company, this architecture allows the device to interact with live calls without requiring a second SIM card or separate phone number.

“TonoCard was designed to reduce interruptions without causing users to miss priority calls,” said a spokesperson for TonoCard. “The system answers first, identifies what the caller needs and transfers the conversation when direct attention is required.”

The device measures 86 × 56 × 3.2 mm and weighs approximately 35 grams. Its hardware includes a 120 × 240-pixel OLED display, Bluetooth 5.3, a 600 mAh battery rated for approximately 30 days of standby and four-point magnetic Pogo Pin charging.

According to TonoCard, the device is designed to remain connected at distances of up to three meters from a paired smartphone. Compatibility is planned for supported iOS and Android devices.

User-Defined Call Handling
Call-handling rules are configured through TonoCard’s companion app using plain-language instructions or one of three operating modes: no takeover, unknown callers only or full takeover.

The system is designed to screen unfamiliar numbers and transfer calls that match user-defined priorities. Calls handled by the system are recorded in the companion app with a concise summary and traceable transcript.

Subject to user approval and platform availability, TonoCard is also designed to support outbound calls and follow-up actions for routine tasks such as inquiries, bookings and confirmations.

The companion app does not require a user account. TonoCard states that call information is retained locally on the paired device to support user control over conversation data.

Availability and Campaign Information
TonoCard is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter on October 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT.
The product has an expected retail price of US229.The Kickstarter campaign is expected to include an introductory pledge level of US159, subject to availability and the campaign’s published terms.
