Israeli Settlers Set Up New West Bank Outpost Amid Attacks on Palestinians

(MENAFN) Israeli settlers established a new illegal outpost on Palestinian land east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Monday, while separate incidents left three Palestinians injured in attacks near Hebron, according to Palestinian organizations.

The Bedouin rights group Al-Baydar said in a statement that settlers erected the new outpost in the Jisr al-Khala area near the town of Rummon, east of Ramallah.

The organization reported that settlers placed tents and mobile homes on land belonging to Palestinian residents.

It warned that such actions are aimed at forcing Palestinian displacement and said the new outpost could later serve as a base for further attacks on nearby communities.

In a separate incident, settlers reportedly targeted Palestinian vehicles on a road connecting Deir Dibwan and Rummon east of Ramallah on Monday evening, though no injuries were reported.

Further south in the occupied West Bank, three Palestinians were injured after being assaulted near the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

The medical organization said its teams provided treatment for the wounded individuals before transferring them to a hospital for further care.
