LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, October 10, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Zotus City Development Group (ZCDG) proudly announced the official unveiling of global football legend, humanitarian, and entrepreneur Didier Drogba as Senior Partner and Global Ambassador for Zotus City during the Pula Global Expo 2025 in Gaborone, Botswana. The announcement was made by Davison Simango, Founder and CEO of Zotus Group, before government officials, investors, and international dignitaries, marking a new era for Botswana’s first privately led smart city.

Joining Drogba in this transformative vision is former England international Emile Heskey, who serves as Co-Founder and CSR Ambassador, helping to drive community inclusion, youth empowerment, and social development within the city’s long-term master plan.

Global Ambassadors of Integrity and Impact
Didier Drogba, known globally for his legendary football career and humanitarian initiatives, continues to lead impactful ventures across sustainability and technology. Beyond his foundation’s education and health programs, Drogba is actively involved in the E1 electric powerboat racing series, a pioneering global platform promoting renewable energy, innovation, and marine conservation.

At Zotus City, Drogba’s role bridges sports, sustainability, and social impact, using his global influence to champion investment confidence and inspire African excellence.

“Zotus City embodies the kind of future Africa deserves smart, sustainable, and full of opportunity,” said Didier Drogba. “This project stands as proof that Africa can design, finance, and build world-class cities rooted in our values and vision.”
Emile Heskey, equally passionate about empowering the next generation, added:
“Zotus City is more than buildings and technology. It’s about people. It’s about ensuring that development benefits the youth, women, and communities that form the heart of Botswana’s progress.”

World-Class Legal, Design, and Investment Partnerships
Zotus City’s credibility is anchored in partnerships with globally respected institutions. King & Spalding LLP, one of the world’s most renowned law firms, serves as global counsel, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and investor protection.

Urban and technical master plans are led by Surbana Jurong Group (Singapore) and BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group (Denmark), two of the world’s foremost design firms known for their innovation in sustainable city planning.

Strategically located within the Trans-Kalahari Corridor, Zotus City is being developed in collaboration with the Trans-Kalahari Corridor Secretariat (TKCS) and the Botswana Investment & Trade Centre (BITC), integrating it into a continental logistics network that links Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.

Strategic Investors and Global Partnerships
Senior Advisor Aref Kanafani, representing Middle Eastern family offices, continues to lead investor relations and international structuring. His work has positioned Zotus City within a strong capital network connecting Africa, the Gulf, and Asia.

Founder and CEO Davison Simango said, “The strength of Zotus City lies in the quality of its partners. With King & Spalding, Surbana Jurong, BIG, TKCS, and global ambassadors Didier Drogba and Emile Heskey, we are uniting world-class capability with an African vision of transformation.”
